Supporter Registration
Supporters sustain the ceremony and nourish the collective prayer through active service and care for the community. Without the supporters, the Sundance cannot happen.
The Supporters Circle
The community that sustains the Sundance
Supporters sustain the ceremony through their presence and active service. Without the continuous, dedicated work of the community, the Sundance cannot take place. Daily camp responsibilities are shared across the following areas:
Tending the fire in the Inipi circle day and night, and chopping, hauling, and organizing firewood for the entire camp.
Preparing meals together and keeping the kitchen clean and organized through shared shifts.
Bringing fresh water to the kitchen, making sure everyone stays hydrated, and helping prepare coffee and tea.
Caring for Elders and children, and providing quiet, attentive support to those who are fasting and dancing.
Maintaining the ecological dry latrines, helping keep the camp safe and orderly, caring for the land, and following the Zero Waste policy.
